I conduct an interment service for one of our church member at Area E, Dasmarinas. This was my first Interment service and I was little bit inorganized. The family requested me to conduct this service last sunday. I shared a biblical reflection on our life, death and God's care for us. We read Psalm 23 as our scripture reading.

I was talking to my congregation last Sunday about the need to rediscover ourselves. Once I came across a sermon by Martin Luther King Jr. about Joseph and Mary forgetting Jesus at Jerusalem during their visit when Jesus was just 12. look before you go further

Northeast India was known by many conspicuous accolades such as “Jewel of India,” “Switzerland of the East”, and many more. Without doubt our past was magnificently good and topographically striking. There was a time we were living in abundance. Streams of fresh water, countless flora and fauna, mountains were indeed grandeur, generosity of your neighbours were immeasurable, traditional values above reproach, colourful customs, pollution of any kind was unheard of. Indeed God must have taken time to create such land where we can’t have even a glimpse of it now. One might not agree with me if I say I feel pity for the present generation. Language: the most powerful

There are something in our life that caught us unaware. Sometime, we jumped in fully aware of the consequences but could not resist it. It gives solution to our craving momentarily. We realized when it was too late that it is not easy as it get us into the habit. There are things that appear essential and could not resist it or something we ought to have if we are to get along with the time and generation. After considering some of the things that inhibits our lives without fully realizing its consequences is the 'language' - foreign language to be precise.  We tend to immerse into the idea that the language of the powerful makes us powerful! Academically, I might sound rather odd and out of place. True! Since most of the academic works are in foreign language, it is essential for us to learn their language to read them and understand them.
