post Christmas reflection

Fellowship with God in Christ
John 5:24 cf. Acts 4:12
If you believed in me, you also believed in the one who sent me. There is no other name under heaven that any man should be save except through Christ Jesus.
Sin separate us from God, it is not God who distance Himself away from us, it is always us who try to our best to run away from God.
Starting with first creation, we try to run from Him but in the coldness of the evening God came to them to have fellowship but they hide themselves in shame.
Men always try to cover their mistakes over and over again. Adam first thought they can cover their shame by the leaves of trees (that is what we are doing today) and it wither as sun goes up!
And still men try to cover by blaming on others for their mistake. It was in fact half-truth – indeed Eve deceived him but let us be reminded that God will deal according to what we do. God did deal with Eve in His way, so also Adam has to be deal according to what he did.
We always tend blame others. We always blame on devils but mind you, God will not deal with devils for the mistakes and sins you have committed. He simply tempt you and you are the one who actually did it. It is the intention of the evil to tempt you.

Christmas is
The celebration of His love being demonstrated (Romans 5:8). God, always love us. We thought that we are too dirty, busy, shameful (Isaiah 1:18). We are too quick to pass judgment on ourselves and a bit faster to pass judgment on others. We condemned ourselves when God is telling us that He loves us. This is one of the biggest threat for mankind and most successful scheme for the devil. When God say I don’t have anything against you, we told ourselves, that is too wonderful and it can’t be truth. It is always God who took initiative to save us – He first love us (I John 4:19).
The celebration of His forgiveness. When God decided to send His only begotten Son, it was in His mind that unless there is forgiveness, no relationship can be build. Bringing us back to God require our sins be first cleans.
The celebration of the fellowship we have in God through Christ. It is the celebration of Immanuel. Jews wait for the Messiah and still waiting. It is the Spirit of God that keep us and sustain us until Christ coming (I Cor. 1:8, I Thess. 5:23, 24). When God says He will, we did not have enough faith to believe that promise and there lies our biggest problem. If we realize that we are in fellowship with God, our life will be victorious and Christmas is message that empower us.
